Ledger, a major supplier of hardware wallets designed for secure storage of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC),is trying to keep up with the popularity of NFT. Apple Music Executive Parker Todd Brooks has left the company to join Ledger, one of the leading providers of cryptocurrency hardware wallets.

Brooks will head ledger's non-fungible token (NFT) division, according to Friday's announcement. The company is in the process of expanding its support for the storage, display, management and security of NFT content.

Brooks joins Ledger after seven years at Apple Music. He was a pioneer in the creation of Apple Music and the Beats 1 music radio station following the acquisition of Beats Music by Apple in 2014. After working as director of Beats Music artist integration, he also helped with topspin Media, Beats Music and Spotify integrations.

Brooks, who will become ledger's vice president of NFTs, will bridge the gap between the platform and the arts community and develop NFT management products. According to Ledger's announcement, NFTS will be given "priority over Ledger's software and hardware platforms."
